The Hobonichi-produced shopping arcade "The Joys of Living 2nd Exhibition" will be held in Roppongi

Event Date:2017.11.15-11.19
Nov 2, 2017
The first "Joys of Life" exhibition, an event produced by Hobonichi, was held in March of this year and was a huge success. The second edition will be held at Roppongi Hills Arena for five days from November 15th to 19th.

For the second edition, the exhibition will be significantly expanded in terms of area, duration, and number of exhibitors. Approximately 60 stores will gather at Roppongi Hills Arena, creating a five-day-only shopping arcade. Each store will be stocked with items they have collected or created specifically for the day. Things you've always wanted but couldn't find, or things that make you wonder where they found them. A wide variety of items will be available, from one-of-a-kind pieces by artists to mass-produced, highly recommended items. The biggest difference from the previous event is the replacement of the "dining hall" with a "food truck." Takeout lunches are also available.

Exhibits include "Sora Botanical Garden Christmas Shop" by plant hunter Seijun Nishihata, who travels around the world to collect plants; "Cup Shop Takahashi Yoshihiko Salad! Salad Dishes" by world-renowned glass artist Yoshihiko Takahashi; and "Cute Reading Glasses Shop" by JINS. In addition to original merchandise created in collaboration between the Taro Okamoto Memorial Museum and Hobonichi, chairs by Taro Okamoto, which have never been available for general sale before, will also be available for purchase. The event will also feature advance sales of the "Hobonichi 5-Year Planner," which will be released on December 1st, as well as the first unveiling and pre-sale of the new "Hobonichi Earth Ball." The "Hobonichi Earth Ball" is round, light, and soft, yet still a genuine globe. By holding your smartphone over it, you can enjoy various content from around the world. In addition to items, there will also be a wide selection of food. Exclusive bento boxes will be on sale, each designed by food stylist Nami Iijima, Toru Wachi of Ginza bistro "Mardi Gras," Liang Baozhang of Kanda's Northeastern Chinese restaurant "Aibo," and Chiori Yamamoto of "chioben."
