Swiss luxury watch brand TAG Heuer will open its first-ever "TAG Heuer Monaco Concept Studio" at the Isetan Shinjuku store from July 6 to December 31, 2022, focusing on the "Monaco" collection, the world's first rectangular waterproof watch.

The store will display Monaco museum pieces and heritage models specially ordered for this pop-up store from the TAG Heuer 360 Museum in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, and will carry nearly the entire Monaco collection currently available for purchase in Japan. Other items available for purchase include limited edition models, new Japan-exclusive tourbillons, and Haute Horlogerie. Along with museum pieces, some rare timepieces are replaced approximately every two months, and information on these items will be posted regularly on the TAG Heuer official LINE account.

Since its launch in 1969, the TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph has challenged every aspect of watchmaking with its bold innovations. At a time when only manual-winding chronographs were available, the Monaco was one of the first automatic chronographs. Instead of the traditional black or white dial, the Monaco featured a vibrant blue dial, enhanced by bright white registers and red accents. But it was the Monaco's shape that was most revolutionary at the time. Breaking the tradition of nearly all chronographs being round, the Monaco was square and, for the first time, housed in a waterproof case. The name "Monaco" itself captures the watch's dual nature: it reflects the unparalleled luxury of the Principality of Monaco, contrasted with the dangerous atmosphere of the legendary F1 race.

In addition to the extensive Monaco collection, the TAG Heuer Monaco Concept Studio will also feature new products, including high complications such as tourbillons, the latest Carrera and Porsche collaborations, Aquaracer, and Connected watches. In addition, we will be running a special promotion to celebrate the opening of the pop-up store. Be sure to immerse yourself in the world of TAG Heuer Monaco.
