Louis Vuitton will release new works from the "MASTERS Collection," the second collaboration with New York-based contemporary artist Jeff Koons, on October 27th.

The collection takes inspiration from masterpieces by great masters of Western painting. The first installment featured oil paintings by Da Vinci, Titian, Rubens, Fragonard, and Van Gogh. The second series, which will be released this time, features works with ties to Japan, including Joseph William Turner's "Ancient Rome: Agrippina Landing with the Ashes of Germanicus," Nicolas Poussin's "The Triumph of Pan," and Édouard Manet's "Luncheon on the Grass," as well as works from the Matsukata Collection of the National Museum of Western Art, such as Claude Monet's "Water Lilies," François Boucher's "Nude Reclining on a Sofa" (limited edition at Maison Louis Vuitton Vendôme in Place Vendôme, Paris), and Paul Gauguin's "Fragrant Earth." Following the first series, this second series also features an arrangement of Louis Vuitton's monograph motifs, adding Koons' initials. Each bag comes with a tag shaped like a balloon rabbit, a design Koons has used throughout his 40-year career, and the interior features a biography and portrait of the artist behind the original painting.
