From October 21st to November 7th, ceramic artist and artist Makoto Kagoshima's "#KagoshimaMatsumiExhibitionMAKOTOKAGOSHIMAEXHIBITION2017" will be held at doinel, a shop in Kita-Aoyama, Tokyo, specializing in European lifestyle goods, fashion accessories, food, and natural wines. This year marks the 10th anniversary of this annual exhibition. The past four exhibitions have focused on Makoto Kagoshima's designs, and have involved the creation and presentation of various collaborative products. This time, the exhibition returns to the artist's roots, showcasing handmade ceramic pieces created specifically for this exhibition, as well as highly artistic woodcut paintings that are individually hand-painted, and his first glass works, created using sand casting (a technique in which molten glass is poured into a sand mold). Additionally, there will be an exhibition of bird-themed spatial decorations, and sales of the new "KISSA Mobile" (6,000 yen) by ZUAN & ZOKEI, a product brand based on Kagoshima Mutsumi's designs.

Also, on October 21st, a live drawing event will be held in which Kagoshima Mutsumi will draw live on the facade window, using cutting sheets with the same motif as the woodcut paintings on display at the front of the store. Visitors can enjoy the harmony between Kagoshima's light and airy drawings, which are drawn surprisingly quickly and smoothly, and the exhibition space.
