Breitling will open its first pop-up store in a Tokyo department store from May 25th to June 7th in the promotional space on the first floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku. The pop-up store, which adopts a global concept, will feature the new Navitimer, which has been revamped to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Navitimer's birth, as well as exhibits of precious vintage models tracing its history. In addition, the store will also feature an extensive collection, including Japan-exclusive models. Customers who make a purchase during the pop-up store period will receive an original Breitling novelty gift (while supplies last).

Introducing the 2022 Navitimer
In 1952, Willy Breitling developed a wristwatch chronograph with a rotating slide rule that could perform various navigation calculations required by pilots. Two years later, this design was adopted as the official timepiece of the International Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the world's largest pilots' club. The association's wings logo was emblazoned at the 12 o'clock position, and the "navigation timer," or Navitimer, was born. Since then, the Navitimer has grown alongside the development of civil aviation, adorning the wrists of not only pilots but also astronauts and the stars of the era.

70 years after the birth of this legendary timepiece, Breitling's most iconic model is reborn as the new Navitimer, paying tribute to its heritage while adding modern refinements. It retains its distinctive design codes, such as the rotating slide rule, baton indexes, three chronograph counters, and an easily operable knurled bezel, making it instantly recognizable from afar. Yet, upon closer inspection, the watch's modern refinements become apparent. The flattened slide rule and domed crystal create a slimmer appearance, while alternating polished and satin-brushed finishes create a lustrous yet understated texture. The rotor's silhouette has been slimmed down, allowing the COSC-certified Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 to be more clearly visible through the caseback.
The movement comes with a 5-year warranty, a power reserve of approximately 70 hours, and the date can be changed at any time. The new Navitimer is available in a variety of sizes (46, 43, and 41 mm) and two case materials (stainless steel and 18K red gold). The dials are available in a wide range of bold colors, including modern blue, green, and copper. The return of the AOPA wings to their original location at 12 o'clock adds a touch of nostalgia.
