Kiyokawa Asami is an artist who uses a technique of embroidering onto photographs, and is active in a variety of fields, including not only fine art but also costume, spatial design, and advertising. After winning the Best Debutante Award in 2004 and an award at the VOCA Exhibition in 2010, she held "Kiyokawa Asami / Beauty Collection" (Mito Museum of Art) in 2011, becoming the youngest artist to hold a museum-wide solo exhibition. The exhibition traveled to Omotesando Hills in 2012, drawing the largest number of visitors ever. A former model, she has produced works that bring out the charms of many celebrities, including Hirosue Ryoko and Nagasawa Masami, while also creating a large amount of art on the theme of insecurities. Her work has resonated with women and is gaining a growing fan base.
