Stella McCartney releases lingerie set to support breast cancer awareness

Sep 30, 2015

On October 1st, Stella McCartney will release a hot pink lingerie set called "Alina Playing" as part of its AW15 lingerie collection to support breast cancer awareness.

Released in October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, "Alina Playing" is a lingerie set that combines a natural, feminine mood with sporty inspiration. Characterized by designs such as ergonomic straps, picot trim, and geometric patterns on leaver lace, the set comes in three items: a balconette bra (15,000 yen), a soft cup bra (15,000 yen), and bikini briefs (8,000 yen).

Following Kate Moss last year, this year Cara Delevingne has been chosen to appear in the breast cancer awareness campaign. Appearing wearing the "Alina Playing" bra, she has drawn a heart on her chest to show her support for the breast cancer awareness project.

A portion of the sales from "Asobieru Arena" will be donated to charities such as the Linda McCartney Centre in the UK and the National Breast Cancer Foundation in the US and Australia to support activities that provide early detection programs for breast cancer and treatment for breast cancer patients.

The official online shop will also exclusively sell "Louise Listening," a new compression bra to be worn after a double mastectomy. All sales of "Louise Listening" will be donated to the Hello Beautiful Foundation, established in London for women with breast cancer and their families.
