Armani costumes provided by Al Pacino for the Broadway musical "China Doll"

Al Pacino's play "China Doll" has opened on Broadway. Giorgio Armani is providing costume design.

The screenplay for "China Doll" was written by playwright and screenwriter David Mamet. The story revolves around a wealthy man who gives up everything to start a new life, his beautiful young fiancée, and an airplane. A sudden phone call sets the wheels of fate in motion.

In the film, Al Pacino appears in a grosgrain silk tuxedo with an evening vest, white evening shirt, and bow tie. His relationship with Giorgio Armani began when Al Pacino wore a Giorgio Armani tuxedo to the Academy Awards ceremony for his role in the 1993 film "Scent of a Woman."
