The year-end and New Year holidays are a time when many people bring gifts, such as seasonal greetings and trips home. FASHION HEADLINE presents "winter gifts" selected by fashion and beauty industry professionals. If you're having trouble deciding what to give, check out this list of top gifts endorsed by these experts.

FASHION HEADLINE's deputy editor-in-chief, Shigematsu Yuka, recommends flower arrangements from FLOWER OF ROMANCE, a florist run by flower artist Azuma Makoto. Located on the 5th floor Living Room Floor of the Isetan Shinjuku store.

"Flower of Romance's arrangements are always well-received when I bring them to interviews. Since they're close to the editorial office, I call in advance to let them know the colors I have in mind, and they prepare the arrangement for me," says Shigematsu.

If you're unsure of the number of people you're giving gifts to, or if you're worried about what gift to give to someone who is already accustomed to receiving sweets, choose flowers. "The arrangements that unify the flowers and leaves in green are lovely, so it's great for both men and women, and is a unisex gift," says Shigematsu.

"The charm is that they will suggest different looks for the same flowers depending on the distance between you and the recipient: a bouquet for a personal gift, and an arrangement for an official visit. They also offer arrangements using mizuhiki (traditional Japanese string) around New Year's, so you can enjoy an eclectic mix of Japanese and Western styles. It's amazing how familiar flowers like calla lilies, Turkish bellflowers, and carnations can take on a completely different look in their hands." (Shigematsu)

From arrangements that combine vibrantly colored flowers to arrangements that mainly use New Year's colors like white, yellow, and red, you're sure to find a variety of New Year's arrangements with different atmospheres. Of course, you can also have a custom order made based on your image, so why not stop by the store first?
