The special exhibition "Volez, Voguez, Voyagez - Louis Vuitton (To the Sky, To the Sea, Beyond - Louis Vuitton Travels)" is running until June 19th at a special venue adjacent to Kioicho in Tokyo.

This exhibition, which traces the epic history of Louis Vuitton from 1854 to the present day, is being held in Tokyo following its opening in Paris' Grand Palais last year, and has already attracted over 100,000 visitors since its opening on April 23rd.

On June 2nd, an evening performance event, "LOUIS VUITTON: DANCE WITH AI," was held at the exhibition venue as part of a cultural exchange between Tokyo and Paris. For this one-night-only event, some of Japan's leading creators gathered. The project was planned and organized by Kawamura Genki, who has produced films such as "Wolf Children" and "Confessions." The dancer is Moriyama Mirai, an actor who also served as Japan's leading cultural exchange ambassador and dance company leader. The dance direction is by MIKIKO, a choreographer who has worked on Perfume's choreography, while video direction is by Manabe Daito of Rhizomatiks Research. The music is by evala, who has written songs for songs such as "Perfume: World 2nd -Opening-." The theme of the performance, which centers around the exhibition's theme of "travel," is "a journey from the micro to the macro, where humans and AI collaborate." Through dance, Moriyama Mirai will express the evolution of humanity from its birth into this world, its first steps, and its progression through history, inviting visitors on a "journey" through human history. The backdrop for Moriyama Mirai's work is a new painting created by Rhizomatiks Research, led by Daito Manabe, using deep learning technology to analyze footage of Moriyama dancing and the vast amount of data on paintings created by humans since ancient times. Previously, paintings were created through the human eye, but now they have been reborn through machines, performing alongside live human dance, creating a different dimension in the venue. This exhibition was established by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the City of Paris as a "Tokyo-Paris Cultural Exchange Project," and the event was attended by Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado and Thierry Dana, the French Ambassador to Japan.
