The SAINT LAURENT Spring/Summer 2014 collection kicked off with a giant LED gimmick. The monochrome look was enhanced with glitter, sequins, and red lip patterns. An '80s vibe was incorporated throughout the collection, with silhouettes that emphasized the shoulders, one-shoulder dresses, and tuxedo lapel jumpsuits. Skirts ranged from tight to flared. Soft, printed fabrics like chiffon flowed, and rock-inspired rider jackets and tailored jackets were worn over them. A teddy boy-inspired gray suit featured a long jacket and slim, ankle-length pants, complete with a thin tie, a signature Hedi Slimane design. The brand's iconic rider jackets and tuxedos were also presented in a variety of variations. On foot, kitten-heel boots and pumps were worn. Pairing socks with strap shoes was also a trend this season.
