"co-tori 2017," an event to enjoy Tottori's handicrafts and seasonal ingredients in Tokyo, will be held from February 25th to March 10th at SML, a shop in Nakameguro, Tokyo, and other locations.

Started in 2013, "co-tori" is an event where you can enjoy the handicrafts and seasonal ingredients of Tottori Prefecture, known for its abundant nature and delicious food, while strolling through Nakameguro, Tokyo. Now in its fifth year, "co-tori craft" will be held at SML from February 25th to March 5th. During the event, Tottori, the birthplace of folk art activist Shoya Yoshida's folk art philosophy, and where the spirit of "beauty of utility" is still deeply rooted, will be exhibited, including pottery, washi paper, and stencil dyeing. The lineup of exhibitors includes Tottori Folk Crafts, Enkoji Kiln, Fukumitsu Ware, Yamane Kiln, Inshu Nakai Kiln, Makiya Kiln, Yamaguchi Kuniko, Yoshida Shoya Design Knives, Daiinshu Paper Cooperative Association, Nishio Masamichi, ukiroosh, Yamashita Dyeing Workshop, and Iwai Kiln.

In addition, "co-tori CAFE & RESTAURANT" will be held from February 25th to March 10th. Seven participating stores will offer a 14-day limited-time menu featuring ingredients from Tottori Prefecture. Cafe RED BOOK will offer "Shirobara Milk Chai," SOAKS will offer "Tottori Wagyu Beef Tripe and White Beans Braised in White Wine with Gorgonzola," and Bar Del Sole will offer "Egg Risotto Made with Tottori Tenbi Eggs." Msola will serve "Tottori Traditional Small Soba Noodles in a Bamboo Steamer," Meat & Bakery TAVERN will serve "Tottori Wagyu Charcoal-Grilled Burger," STOVE will serve "Daisen Chicken with Herb Breadcrumbs," and SunnySide Nakameguro will serve "Tottori Beef Bone Ramen."

Popular Tottori sweets will also be available for a limited time at two stores. SIDEWALK STAND will offer Mori no Seikatsusha's "Cranberry and White Chocolate" and "Ginger Peel and Coarse Grain Butter Cake," while PLAIN PEOPLE Nakameguro will offer HAKUSEN's "Herb Cordial Drink" and "Salted Chocolate Muffin."

In addition, the annual two-day limited-time "co-tori BAL" drinking event will be held on March 1st and 2nd from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM (registration closes at 9:30 PM), where you can enjoy Tottori's sake and ingredients. If you order one item from the snack menu at each of the six participating stores, you will be able to enjoy one free drink of Tottori's local sake. The participation fee is 2,500 yen, and participants will receive a complimentary sake cup made by a Tottori pottery manufacturer. There will also be a stamp rally where participants can visit three or more participating stores to win luxurious Tottori prizes.
