Boucheron launches new ring collection, "Etoile de Paris," featuring traceable diamonds

Release Date:2022.01.31
Jan 29, 2022
Boucheron will launch the Etoile de Paris collection on January 31, 2022. The Etoile de Paris motif, with its faceted design reminiscent of a jewellery piece, accentuates the central diamond with a delicate design reminiscent of a misana beam (nested structure). Pavé diamonds surround the central diamond, creating an infinite expanse of brilliance.

The ring's design is inspired by the famous Place de l'Etoile (Place Charles de Gaulle) and the 12 avenues radiating from the Arc de Triomphe. The center is set with a round brilliant-cut diamond of over 0.3 carats, and is recreated in a graphical design that connects the center diamond to the edge of the ring in a network pattern. Each facet surrounding the round brilliant-cut center diamond and the platinum arms are also paved with diamonds, adding even more sparkle.

In 2020, Boucheron achieved 100% responsible sourcing of gold in its jewelry. Two years after achieving that goal, the brand continues to work towards making its jewelry even more responsible and sustainable. Boucheron is strengthening its commitment to traceability with the launch of its new "Etoile de Paris" collection, thanks to a partnership with SARINE Technologies, a global leader in diamond technology.

State-of-the-art algorithms allow the identification of center diamonds and tracking each step of the process. In addition to the original criteria defined by the 4Cs (carat, color, clarity, and cut), Boucheron can now provide detailed information on their origin, size, polish, and setting. An interactive digital display also allows customers to follow each step of the diamond grading process, starting with the rough diamond set in their jewelry.

Covering the entire global diamond supply chain, this innovative grading system uses only data generated by state-of-the-art equipment. This minimizes human intervention in the grading process, thereby reducing the risk of subjectivity and human error. This highly accurate data allows Boucheron to offer the most detailed diamond grading in the jewelry industry and its unique certificate: the Boucheron Certificate.

This solution for ensuring diamond traceability is now the most complete and reliable in the industry. In addition, the new "Etoile de Paris" jewelry pieces feature traceable pavé diamonds and platinum certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC).

The new "Etoile de Paris" collection for 2022 reflects Boucheron's commitment to sustainable development. Boucheron has also set the ambitious goal of achieving 100% traceability for all key raw materials by 2025.
