Vivienne Westwood Anglomania will open a new concept store on the second floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku on March 1st. The store will offer special pieces that are exclusive to the store, created in collaboration with traditional Japanese craftsmanship.
The first series in this collaboration collection includes a modern small plate (8,500 yen) made from Imari Okawachiyama Nabeshima ware, a type of porcelain from Arita and Imari that was considered the finest in porcelain during the Edo period; a demitasse cup and saucer (9,500 yen) featuring an original pattern created using transfer techniques at Tokko Kiln in Arita; and a Natsume lidded container (11,000 yen) made at Tokko Kiln that is often used in high-end Japanese restaurants and is perfect as an accessory case. All are handmade and available in three colors: gray, yellow, and terracotta, and all are packaged in paulownia wood boxes.
The shop will continue to offer traditional Japanese crafts each season, created exclusively for Vivienne Westwood Anglomania by skilled artisans.
