On December 12th, adidas' premium footwear line, adidas Consortium, will release the Made in France Superstar (priced at ¥30,000). 2015 marks the 45th anniversary of the Superstar. This time, adidas is returning to its roots and collaborating with Ateliers Heschung, the French manufacturer of adidas shoes in the 1970s, to revive the Made in France aesthetic. The upper is crafted from taut white premium leather, with a distinctive rubber toe cap sewn by hand. The three stripes and unbranded heel tab are crafted from smooth black leather, faithfully recreating the original. Vintage-inspired ivory leather is used throughout the shoe, from the shell-shaped toe to the outsole and soft leather lining. The shoe tongue features the old "Made in France" logo, a testament to the high-quality materials and careful craftsmanship used.
