Artist Chichi Tanaka's solo exhibition, "Tanaka Chichi," will be held from January 29 to February 7, 2016, at the Bunkamura Gallery on the first floor in Shibuya, Tokyo. Chichi Tanaka has been a highly accomplished artist in recent years, exhibiting both domestically and internationally, and creating novel covers and illustrations, as well as imagery for stage and film. Her works, which depict endless nights, phosphorescent forests, gently shimmering snow-capped hills, and abandoned scenes, use the striking contrast of black and white to depict a unique view of life and death, evoking sentimental stories. This exhibition, her second at Bunkamura, will feature a number of original oil paintings, including previously unreleased new works, on display and for sale. This exhibition offers a chance to fully experience the compelling power of Tanaka, one of today's most acclaimed artists.
