He's a star chef who also appears on cooking shows. Born in Ethiopia and raised in Sweden, her exotic background is reminiscent of New York. Ginny's Supper Club hosts live performances on weekends. They also strive to preserve traditional Harlem culture by serving American soul food like crispy, large hot wings and steaks.
For breakfast on the second day, head to the perfect spot to experience immigrant culture. Russ & Daughter's Cafe on the Lower East Side is a branch of Russ & Daughter's, a long-established, traditional Jewish deli that represents New York. Their bagels and smoked salmon are popular. Russ & Daughter's founder, Joel Russ, was a Jewish immigrant who came to Manhattan around 1900. His descendants continue to run the cafe, and family photos hang from the walls of the white diner-style interior. There's also a deli two blocks east, so you can pick up souvenirs there.
