Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings will open a new members-only salon, "3rd_PAGE" (2-27-18 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo), on September 21st in Aoyama, Tokyo.
The salon will offer rare seminars, workshops, concierge services, and more exclusively to members. The cafe space will offer complimentary coffee and tea, along with carefully selected meals and teas. It also features a lounge where you can relax with music and videos, a mini-theater, and private rooms that can be used for parties. Approximately 1,000 books selected according to theme will be displayed throughout the salon, and guests are free to browse.
Salon members will also have priority access to seminars and parties on topics such as travel, art, culture, tradition, lifestyle, food, cars, and sports. The salon also hosts seminars by writers, journalists, and other professionals at least once a week. On September 24th, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg's Ambassador to Japan was invited to participate in a "Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Wine Night: The Charms of a Smart and Elegant Small European Nation." On October 6th, a talk session titled "Knowing Your Destiny at 50!? Work and Organizing, and the Path Ahead" will be held, exploring ways to live life to your fullest, using turning 50 as a turning point. The salon also collaborates with concierges from Mitsukoshi Isetan's three flagship stores (Isetan Shinjuku, Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store, and Mitsukoshi Ginza) to offer consultations on shopping, travel, leisure activities, and more. Membership is open to all MI Card holders. There is no registration fee and monthly membership is 10,000 yen. The company aims to attract 1,500 members in its first year. He said that in the future, the company may not only expand within Tokyo, but also open members-only salons in local and regional stores. By opening a salon, he hopes to create a place for community building for men in their 50s and 60s, who tend to avoid department stores, and eventually encourage them to visit department stores.
