
The "Illustrator Mizumaru Anzai Exhibition," tracing the footsteps of illustrator Mizumaru Anzai, will be held at the Eki Kyoto Museum of Art from June 17th to July 10th. Mizumaru Anzai is an illustrator known for his work on book covers and magazine illustrations. He also wrote novels, essays, manga, and picture books. This exhibition traces the artist's life from his childhood to his later years, focusing on his illustrations. Mizumaru Anzai, who says he has always loved drawing, will also exhibit his work with his close friends, including Mitsusaburo Arashiyama, Haruki Murakami, and Makoto Wada, as well as his favorite items. A gallery talk titled "Memories with Mizumaru-san" will also be held. Author Mitsusaburo Arashiyama will appear at 1:00 PM on June 18th, and broadcast writer and screenwriter Kundo Koyama will appear at 6:30 PM on June 22nd.
