Dover Ginza store has undergone expansion and renovation, evolving into a "chaotic" luxury store

Aug 21, 2015

Dover Street Market Ginza reopened on July 25th. Part of the sixth floor was expanded to include retail space, strengthening its selection of luxury brands.

The newly renovated store features a chaotic mix of trendy emerging brands and established, established fashion houses, creating a truly prosperous atmosphere. The biggest news is the arrival of Gucci, Valentino, and Prada. Gucci and Valentino are located next to each other on the fourth floor, sharing the same space as brands like Sacai and Christopher Nemeth, creating a different appeal from their street-level stores.

Prada occupies a corner of the fifth floor. Not only the main collection, but also dresses and bags previously only available at the Dover New York store are now available at the Ginza store. Also on the fifth floor, a new Loewe space has been opened. The sixth floor, which underwent expansion work, is now home to brands such as Miu Miu, Chrome Hearts, and J.W. Anderson. The event space, which was originally located on the second floor, has also moved here. The first event, a memorable one, was an installation that also served as a retail space for the cutting-edge London streetwear brand Craig Green. The brand's signature "hanging strings" boldly featured. Currently, an installation by London-based footwear brand Diego Vanassibara is being displayed. In the future, live music events and other events are also planned to be held in this event space. Incidentally, the so-called "elephant room" on the first floor features a special installation by Louis Vuitton for its AW15 Men's Pre-Fall collection. A Louis Vuitton space will also be set up on the third floor on August 21st, so you can see just how much effort has gone into this renovation.

It's also worth noting that the number of rare, limited-edition items is increasing. Only at the Dover Ginza store will they be selling one-of-a-kind Miu Miu bags and J.W. Anderson T-shirts with original patterns created in collaboration with Dover.

With a selection and features befitting its Ginza location, the Dover Ginza store has evolved to appeal to the fashion savvy of adults more than ever before.
