The protagonist, Greville Wynne, is played by Benedict Cumberbatch, a leading actor in British cinema. He also served as executive producer on the film. Penkovsky is played by Merab Ninidze from "Bridge of Spies." The chemistry between these two great actors is a major highlight of the film. Other supporting cast members include Rachel Brosnahan from "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" and Jessie Buckley from "Wild Rose."
