To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Bottega Veneta has unveiled its first-ever limited-edition capsule collection in Japan. From October 12th, "IMAGINE BOTTEGA VENETA" will be held on all floors of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building, and from November 9th to 22nd, a pop-up event titled "THE HANDS OF BOT'TEGA VENETA" will be held in the event space on the first floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building, showcasing this limited-edition capsule collection, designed exclusively for Japan by Creative Director Tomas Maier. "IMAGINE BOTTEGA VENETA," held at the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building, will pre-release the women's collection, created under the concept of "traveling through the world of Bottega Veneta with butterflies." This special collection features 12 craftsmanship and color groups created exclusively for Japan. In addition to the "Baby Olympia" bag, the lineup includes new styles of shopping bags, flat shoes, new pouches, and enamel silver bracelets. All are available in colors ranging from deep red to vibrant pink, featuring elegant designs featuring butterflies of various sizes. Also on display will be a limited-edition model of the "Caba" bag, the first bag designed by Tomas Maier when he became creative director in 2001. While the "Caba" bag has traditionally utilized a variety of materials and techniques, a new model features 58 butterfly motifs of various materials attached to fettuccine and then woven into the bag. During the event, a special display will be set up on The Stage on the first floor of the main building, and 15 street-facing show windows will be taken over. Shoes from the capsule collection will be on display on the second floor, and skilled artisans will demonstrate their techniques on the fourth floor. Meanwhile, "THE HANDS OF BOTTEGA VENETA," which will be held at the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Store, will showcase a Japan-exclusive men's capsule collection that makes full use of exceptional craftsmanship. The collection will feature a wide range of items, including those made with the brand's signature intrecciato leather, which has been enhanced with various craftsmanship techniques, and items made from leather that has been washed to bring out its texture. Document cases, tote bags, wallets, and more will be available in a range of colors, primarily natural earth tones. Craftsmen will also be visiting Japan during the event to demonstrate the intrecciato manufacturing process.
