The social networking site "Sumally" has unveiled its e-commerce features for the first time. Its first partner is "ISETAN PARK net (IPn)," a website operated by the Isetan Shinjuku store. IPn will open a limited-time Valentine's Day online shop on its official Sumally page. The limited-time Valentine's Day shop on the official Sumally page of "ISETAN PARK net" offers approximately 70 carefully selected Valentine's Day gift items, including chocolates from Pierre Hermé Paris, Jean-Paul Hévin, Pierre Marcolini, and Godiva, as well as Medicom Toy figurines and Ritu cosmetics. Sumally is a new type of social networking site that fosters communication between users based on two concepts: "what you have" and "what you want." Its innovative concept, unlike any other social networking site, allows users to connect with people with similar tastes and discover previously unknown interests. It has attracted attention. Sumally's cart and payment features are new features released in conjunction with this project. When you select a product in the Valentine's Day Shop on IPn's official Sumally page, an "Add to Cart" button appears on the right side of the page, alongside "want it" and "have it." Once you proceed to the cart confirmation screen, the entire process, up to payment, can be completed within Sumally. Company President Kensuke Yamamoto explains, "We've been considering implementing e-commerce functionality since the service launched." While simply selecting the desired product and paying is the same as a regular shopping site, men can "want it" the gift they want on the shop. This information is shared on Sumally, Facebook, and Twitter, allowing women who see it to send them that gift for Valentine's Day, creating a social connection.
