BEAMS will be collaborating with Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, to launch the "BEAMS EYE on BEPPU" project on the first floor of the BEAMS Japan store in Shinjuku, Tokyo, from November 1st to 30th. The project involves installing a "BEAMS Footbath" at BEAMS Japan every weekend in November, using 100% natural hot spring water delivered directly from Beppu City. Those who experience the footbath in-store will receive a free original tenugui (hand towel) featuring the logo of the Beppu City tourism website, "Hot Spring High Standard: Paradise and Hell Beppu," which has been gaining attention for its unique name and content. Since 2001, Beppu City has also been hosting the "Beppu Hatto Onsen Do," an experiential event that tours hot springs centered around eight hot spring resorts, known as the Beppu Hatto. Visitors who bathe at 88 of the 146 participating facilities will be certified as "Onsen Do Masters." To receive the certification, visitors must collect 88 stamps in the official "Spa Port" stamp book. This time, Beams Footbath will be included in the "Beppu Hatto Onsen Road" initiative for a limited time. During the event, Beams Japan will also be selling products selected by Beams, highlighting Beppu's local industries. In addition to traditional Beppu bamboo baskets and accessories, products include soaps, shampoos, and other hot spring-related items, as well as traditional Beppu souvenirs like "zabon" and "kabosu" sweets. Furthermore, "Yunohana," a natural bath additive with the same benefits as alum hot springs, will also be available. In addition, the store will be distributing the rare free paper "Tabi Techo Beppu" by the Beppu Project, a Beppu-based nonprofit organization that connects the town and art.
