Three Christmas stories in candles from France's oldest candle maker, Cire Trudon

Oct 20, 2016

Cire Trudon, France's oldest candle manufacturer, will release the limited-edition "Cire Trudon Christmas Collection" on November 9th. This Christmas-only collection features a set of three candles, each depicting the story of the Nativity. One of the three, "Gabriel" (270g/13,000 yen), features celadon-colored glass and is inspired by the archangel Gabriel, God's messenger. The scent of leather, cashmere wood, and sweet chestnut notes celebrates Gabriel, who announced the birth of the Savior. "Bethlehem" (270g/13,000 yen), with its striking amber-colored glass, is inspired by Bethlehem, the far-flung desert birthplace of Jesus. The exotic, spicy scent evokes the first encounter the infant Jesus had with his birth in a warm amber stable on a holy night. Finally, there is "Gaspar" (270g/13,000 yen) housed in a taupe-colored glass. The combination of mandarin and passionate sandalwood pays homage to Gaspar, the wise man from the East who wears a dazzling orange robe. Also available is the "Cire Trudon Small Candle Set Christmas Collection" (100g x 3/25,000 yen), a set of three scented candles, which will be sold exclusively in select stores. Available at Bed & Bath Decor on the 5th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building, Barneys New York Roppongi, and more.
