
To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the manga "Ghost in the Shell," an exhibition titled "Ghost in the Shell: Original Artwork Exhibition" will be held at Seibu Ikebukuro Main Store from August 8th to 20th, and at Hanshin Umeda Main Store from August 27th to September 8th.
The exhibition will display over 300 items, including manga manuscripts, original animation drawings, and cels. Original merchandise exclusive to the venue will also be available for purchase. Advance tickets (1,200 yen) with a special original badge are currently on sale.
"Ghost in the Shell" is a cyberpunk manga serialized by manga artist and illustrator Masamune Shirow, first published in 1989. It was adapted into an animated film by director Mamoru Oshii in 1995 and a television anime series by director Kenji Kamiyama in 2002. The latest series, "Ghost in the Shell ARISE," is currently airing.
