I've been on a sweet tangent with my fan heater lately. He keeps dragging me around in the living room, next to the table, and even in the dressing room, and if this keeps up, I might even take him outside. Like a pet dog!
The thing I've been getting the most affectionate with this winter is definitely my fan heater. But if I get too carried away saying, "Being with Fan Heater makes me feel so warm," I'll end up with my eyes popping out of my head when I see the electricity bill...
In any case, I'm realizing every day how important it is to keep my body warm. When I get cold, my circulation gets poor, my skin becomes dull, I get bags under my eyes, my shoulders get stiff, and my feet swell—nothing good happens. I've gotten so sensitive to the cold lately that just seeing a high school girl with bare legs gives me goosebumps, but let's warm up!
The quintessential warming beauty treatment is, of course, a bath. There are days when I just don't feel like taking a bath, but soaking in a bathtub really does relieve my fatigue. Bath additives are crucial for boosting your motivation when it comes to bath time. I have several types available so you can choose the one that best suits your mood, so I'd like to introduce some of my favorites.
First up is the Miniature Bath Oil Collection from the popular brand Aromatherapy Associates. Each of the nine bottles has a different effect and scent, such as "Deep Relax," "Muscle," and "Morning," so it's always fun deciding which one to choose. The deep herbal scent leaves your skin feeling moisturized after a bath. Lightly massaging your skin in and out of the bath makes you feel like all your accumulated fatigue is melting away.
La Casta's Bath Elixir CF (Comforting) is a recent find. The clear liquid turns milky white when added to the bathtub. Its natural scent, a blend of chamomile, rosemary, and lavender, makes you feel like you're taking a deep breath in the meadow. It's a wonderful product that's not sticky but still moisturizing. They also have refreshing "EG (Energizing)" scents like bergamot, so choose your favorite.
Beaute de Sae's "Natural Perfumed Bath Salts - Rose Bouquet," which I bought just for the packaging, is the ultimate girly scent. It's not only pink and cute, but it also smells of classic rose! It really gets me excited, so I like to use it the night before a special occasion...but it's fine even if there's no special occasion!
Now, let's warm up not only from the outside, but also from the inside.
I moved into a very cold apartment a few years ago, and since then I've been drinking Tree of Life's Classic Ginger Cordial. Dissolving it in hot water and drinking it gently warms me from the inside out. It's easy to drink, yet you can still really taste the ginger aroma. It's also delicious mixed with soda or poured over yogurt or ice cream. This cordial was featured in a magazine published by Magazine House last year, and somehow I felt like I'd been tricked.
Spring is already here according to the calendar, but even when the shop assistant hands me a spring item and says, "You can start using it tomorrow," it's so cold I can't help but think to myself, "No way!" The long winter is starting to get me down, but let's endure it for just a little while longer while enjoying the warmth. Spring is just around the corner (and so is pollen...).
