■ "Lust For Life" by Ed Van Der Elsken

This is the first photo book to provide a comprehensive overview of Dutch photographer Ed Van Der Elsken's color work.

Although Ed Van Der Elsken became world famous for his black-and-white works, in reality, much of his work was created in color. He began taking color photographs in Paris in the early 1950s, and by the late 1960s was shooting almost exclusively in color, including for his travel journals. This book traces van der Elsken's evolution as a color photographer and places his work in an art historical context.





In addition to featuring relatively unknown and previously unpublished images, the book also delves into the extensive two-year project by the Netherlands Fotomuseum to restore van der Elsken's slides.
