CASICA, a complex space in Shinkiba, Tokyo, has launched the "Visualization Movie Night Market," an event where visitors can enjoy films and cuisine inspired by the worlds of those films. The first screening will be "The Dinner Table of the Saints" on August 31st.


CASICA is a space based on the concept of "visualizing living time and space," bringing together items and concepts necessary for people's lives, such as furniture, products, art, design, artisans and workshops, food, and health, and presenting them in a uniquely styled space.

The "Visualization Movie Night Market," a regular program held once a month on Saturday, allows visitors to savor films from various countries selected by UPLINK along with a variety of dishes prepared by chefs inspired by the worlds of film. After your emotional meal, there will be a night market where you can discover carefully selected items while savoring the afterglow of the film.

"The Saints' Table"
The first event on August 31 will feature a screening of "The Saints' Table," a film that takes a behind-the-scenes look at the incredible kitchen of the Golden Temple in India, which serves 100,000 meals to pilgrims and tourists every day. The chef will be Hiroko Mihara of Nanpu Shokudo, who has extensive knowledge of Ayurveda, medicinal cuisine, and traditional Chinese medicine. There will also be a talk show featuring Mihara and Kodai Matsuoka, who has traveled to various remote areas, mainly in South Asia and Africa, and is involved in reporting and editing guidebooks.
