Music streaming service Spotify is collaborating with SUMMER SONIC, Japan's largest urban music festival, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, to host the first-ever "Spotify on Stage in MIDNIGHT SONIC" live event on August 16th, featuring top artists from Japan, Europe, the United States, and Asia.
Spotify's "Spotify on Stage" live stage, which debuted in Jakarta, Indonesia in 2017, aims to bring the streaming era's music experience, allowing fans to discover and enjoy their favorite songs from a diverse range of artists across countries and genres, to offline audiences as well. Now, this new concept live stage will be brought to Japan for the first time in collaboration with SUMMER SONIC, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The all-night event will be held at Makuhari Messe's MOUNTAIN STAGE and RAINBOW STAGE, starting at 11:00 PM on August 16th (the first day of SUMMER SONIC). Announced performers include SEKAI NO OWARI, MGMT, R3HAB, NCT127, amazarashi, Sukima Switch, and TK from Ling Tosite Sigure. Official advance ticket sales will begin at noon on June 29th at e+, Lawson Ticket, Ticket Pia, Rakuten Ticket, CN Playguide, Yahoo! Tickets, and LINE TICKET.
