In 2016, Jim Jarmusch made waves with the simultaneous release of Paterson, a film that captures the everyday life of a bus driver, and Gimme Danger, a music documentary about the legendary band The Stooges. His latest film, "The Dead Don't Die," is generating buzz as the first zombie movie from Jim Jarmusch, a longtime dominator in the independent film world.

The cast includes Adam Driver, best known for his role as the protagonist in "Paterson," and familiar face Bill Murray, who teams up with Jim Jarmusch for the third time, as well as a star-studded cast including Tilda Swinton, Chloë Sevigny, Steve Buscemi, Tom Waits, Selena Gomez, Danny Glover, Iggy Pop, and Caleb Landry Jones, ranging from regulars to up-and-coming young talent.

Sheriff Robertson (Bill Murray) and Deputy Peterson (Adam Driver), who work in the three-person police department in the rural American town of Centerville, are busy dealing with the usual, trivial troubles of the residents, when suddenly, zombies begin appearing in town and they find themselves caught up in an unexpected situation.

This film will be screened as the opening film and in the competition section of the 72nd Cannes Film Festival, which began on May 14th, and attention is focused on whether Jim Jarmusch will win his first Palme d'Or.
