Japan Post will issue "Sweets," a greeting stamp set featuring sweets from famous shops, supervised by Magazine House's magazine "BRUTUS," at post offices nationwide on February 1, 2019.
The 62-yen stamp sheet features Tokyo's most iconic souvenirs, while the 82-yen stamp sheet features a special design inspired by Tokyo's famous desserts. The 82-yen stamp is round, shaped like a plate.
The sweets featured include Quil fait Bon's most popular "Seasonal Fruit Tart," Shiseido Parlour Ginza Main Branch's "Strawberry Parfait," Ginza West's "Pudding," Tokyo Kaikan's "Marron Chantilly," Toraya Cafe An Stand Shinjuku's "An Toast," and Yamanoue Hotel Parlour Hilltop's "Cold Brew Coffee Jelly."

Souvenirs include a selection of masterpieces such as Yoku Moku's "Cigare," Daikanyama Ogawaken's "Raisin Witch," Matterhorn's "Baumkuchen," Patisserie 1904's "Shimanami Lemon Cake," and Matsushimaya's "Mame Daifuku."

Also noteworthy are the intricate designs, with color marks shaped like spoons, knives, forks, and even souvenir bags. The stamp sheets are sticker-type, with 62 yen stamps (620 yen/10 stamps) and 82 yen stamps (820 yen/10 stamps). Only 1 million 62 yen stamps and 2 million 82 yen stamps will be available, and they will be available for purchase at post offices nationwide, the post office online shop, and via mail order via postal transfer at Ginza Post Office, starting February 1st. Additionally, special postmarks (special mailing date stamps) have been created to commemorate the issuance of the greeting stamps, featuring illustrations of Omiya Confectionery's "Strawberry Sandwich Shortcake" and Kil Fait Bon's "Seasonal Fruit Tart." These stamps will be available for purchase at designated post offices nationwide, including the special commemorative stamp venue at Kyobashi Post Office in Tokyo, only on February 1st, the day the stamps go on sale.
