Isetan Shinjuku will be hosting "PLACTIC PLANT," the first solo exhibition in a department store, at Isetan The Space on the 2nd floor of the main building from August 3rd to August 22nd, 2022. Based on the theme of "PLASTIC PLANET," which is also the title of the event, the exhibition will feature a series of woodblock paintings created specifically for the exhibition, as well as approximately 30 older drawings. The lineup also includes T-shirts, bags, and rugs in collaboration with UNDERCOVER, PORTER, and Miyoshi Rug, all of whom are friends and admirers of the artist, as well as new versions of the soft vinyl toys "Mindseye Trooper" and "Witchdoktor" created by Unbox/Fern toys exclusively for Isetan. This will be an event that can only be experienced at the Isetan Shinjuku store.

Profile of Will Sweeney
A graphic artist from London, he graduated from the Royal College of Art (RCA). He was greatly influenced by British counterculture such as psychedelia, punk, dub/sound system, which serve as a source of inspiration for his own artwork. In addition to ongoing collaborations with a variety of brands, from high fashion to street culture, including UNDERCOVER, BRAIN DEAD, PORTER, and STELLA McCARTNEY, he has also demonstrated his creativity in the fields of campaigns and concept design for the entertainment industry, including The Lego Movie, Snoop Dogg, and Thee Oh Sees. His popular comic book series, "Tales From Greenfuzz," tells the psychedelic story of a vegetable versus junk food army, and he also produces figures. In addition to his diverse work, he actively exhibits his work around the world, including at the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
